the gun cleaning products applied with compressed air which also blows the dirt away, so it was one thing I was missing in SchleTek product. Honestly speaking, for sure I would use 3-4 times more of the solvent then. In meantime I've applied the Bore Cleaner to the barrel. According to the manual, it penetrates the barrel and removes lead, copper, zinc, carbon build-up and grease. The best thing about that product is a plastic tube with metal applicator which sprays the solvent in four directions. It allows for easy application throughout the barrel. Leave it for 5-6 minutes to dissolve all the dirt and then wipe it with a cleaning rod. Barrel looks like brand new! Calm me heretic, but I always believed that AR barrel is self-cleaning when you shoot often. To be honest, after exposure to rain, I always wipe it a bit with cleaning rod. From my modified STAG rifle with 16" barrel I can easily hit man-sized metal silhouette target from 500-600 meters, and that's why I try to keep control the "copperization" inside the barrel. The Bore Cleaner allows for keeping status quo. Finally, I had used the 2-in-1 Gun Tuning which is truly interesting product for final cleaning and maintenance. It is oil based on a combination of PTFE and micro-fine ceramic particles which leaves a fine film which protects bolt, bolt carrier, trigger and barrel against cor- rosion. It can be also applied on the outside elements what protects against dirt build-up and corrosion from the aggressive gas residues. 2-in-1 Gun Tuning has wide operating temperature range from -40 Celsius degrees up to +250 Celsius degrees. Bolt carrier coated with this product appears to work smoother and the protective layer stays for extended time. I was so amazed with the effectiveness of the SchleTek prod- ucts, so I have decided to use them in my other rifles. Just to sum up: very effective and powerful cleaning solution on par with CLP, Breakthrough, KG and Pro- techGuns I have used before. Mad Leaf My two cents about weapon cleaning and mainte- nance. Being honest with you, I am not that kind of guy who spends Saturday's evening with cleaning rod in my hand and I don't clean my pieces very often. What I have noticed after my review was the fact, that I choose the cleaning solutions to each type of fire- arms I use. And there are three different kinds of those. First is my concealed carry .45. The next is my workhorse I use as an instructor, the beaten up Glock 17. And the last but not least, my beloved race gun for IPSC competitions, the Tanfoglio Limited Custom HC. The proper weapon care is crucial for its reliability which is ultimately important for personal protection gun. It must be cleaned and secured against the water and soil, since we all sweat when we carry a gun close to body. The cleaning products can't be greasy and cannot leave mark on the clothes. And they need to protect against corrosion. And here comes the 2-in-1 Gun Tuning which I really liked because of the "dry" protection film. WEAR MAINTENANCE
