e sensitive impression of Lotos I am not a fan of the waist packs, but I have willingly "fatigued" a little bit the Alpha™. A beginning has been simple, as each waist pack on the market is finally similar to each other. They differ only with their details, materials, colors, etc. Well – exactly, the details, which – as turns out – constitute about the usefulness and functionality of the product. I have been awa- re from a very beginning that the waist pack will be useful for me as a "gadget transporter" at the shooting range and while riding my Harley. When you take the Alpha you immediately know that this product has great workmanship: reliable zippers, a thick Cordura®, a buckles, fi- nishing and a length of waist strap, which is sufficient to fasten it and adjust around my waist. It size is respectable – neither it is a bag, not a low-profile pouch, but it features three zippered pockets (with 550 cord pull tabs), which are very helpful in an organization/location of the odds and ends when using them. From my point of view, the slots inside the pockets are not useful at all, but the other are. This external perfectly works as a place for cash (which can be taken out and spent easily), parking tickets or a pain killers, but the third (the closest to the body) works as storage compart- ment for the documents/ I rarely take them out so I can take it easy – this outline arrangement me. You know, everyone can arrange it as it suits him/her – the fanny pack is func- tional and it may appeal, although as for me its "rustle" is irritating. It internal lining is made of the „rustling" nylon and it irritates me. I do not plan to become a "ninja" and will not take the stealthy steps, but still this "rustling" is horrible for me. If I were to find faults, I would maybe pay attention to a fact that not everybody must be a fan of the omnipresent overlock, so characteristic for the GTG products. When I am at the shooting range, I use the main pocket for carrying the backup ey- ewear, gloves, sometimes I put over there a knife, a lighter, etc. I use it also because of the design. When I wear the old school Woodland cammies, the Alpha™ perfectly matches them. I have not taken into account carrying my gun inside… for me it is "not in the right direction", but I can imagine it as a sporran … further you may guess by yourself. www.fragoutmag.com
