I t is quite difficult for me to find a correlation between that eyewear and the movie itself, but I will not be getting into de- tails. Maybe the idea was behind the design (which, actually, is Sci-Fi-ish) or maybe the name was supposed to be catchy and draw the attention. It is unimportant. Let's focus on the eyewear itself, because it is worth a closer look. DESIGN T he Blade Runner has frame with two separate lenses and foldable, quite protruding temples. Most of the fra- me elements are made of black, dull (with sort of velvet feel) Grilamid TR90 nylon. This material is rigid and flexible, as well as high resistance to mechanical damage (at the stand of Edge during any tradeshow, there is always a pair of Edge fra- me tied in a knot) and it's anti-allergenic. What is more, TR90 is lightweight, so the total weight is barely a 40 gra,s. The design of the frame is not aggressive one, rather „futuristic", but pro- bably more outdoor glasses than „tactical".
