Apart from standard MLU modifications and constant software
upgrades (like e.g. the one enabling the use of a JHMCS helmets), the
RDAF F-16s feature a nose-mounted spotlight that makes it possible
to illuminate aircraft intercepted at night-time. Another special
feature are PIDS pylons found under the wings on stations 3 and 7.
It's an additional defensive measure applied in the Danish F-16 variant,
equipped with sensors and launchers of defensive measures. The BAP
mission setup is standard, i.e. two AIM-120 AMRAAM missiles and two
AIM-9 Sidewinders.
