Vis of Independence
Hundred years ago, on 11th of November 1918, after
123 years of foreign occupation, Republic of Poland
regained its independence. Western Europe countries
commemorate Armistice Day, Poland commemorate
Independence Day.
To commemorate 100 years of regaining the
Independence, Polish main firearms manufacturer
Fabryka Broni Łucznik-Radom, released a limited version
of famous Polish classic WW2-era pistol, the 9 mm VIS
wz. 35 (vz.35) based on the original blueprints.
The VIS was developed by Piotr Wilniewczyc and Jan
Skrzypiński in the 1930s, was adopted as the Polish
service pistol in 1935. Poland made around 49,000
