won't catch a holster. Racking the slide is smooth and without any resistance. The aggres- sive serrations in the front and back of the slide improve the grip. The front ones are also helpful in the press check procedure. VIS 100 sights are clear and con- trast with the white paint for easier aiming. The tritium capsules are bright, but less precise than the iron sights. Shape of the rear sight is kind of unique, higher on the back and slanted towards the front part. It was caused by the tritium capsules and it does not allow to emergen- cy rack the gun with your clothes, The VIS 100 with stainless steel frame is tad heavier than Glock 17 (85 grams more), but still lighter than full-size SIG Sauer P320. The difference between VIS 100 and old- er MAG-95 is significant, because the weight of latter was around 1100 grams. Pistol is well-balanced even if the grip is bit awkward. As for me, in the demo pistol we had on shooting range, the grip side panels were too wide and too thin and unfortunately, we didn't have the changeable straps available to see the difference between them. The design of the pistol does not allow for high grip as the low bea- vertail and slightly beveled trigger guard limits the grip. Trigger guard is large enough to shoot the pistol with gloves on, even winter ones. VIS 100 looks pretty high and the barrel axis is also placed quite high, but still the axis is in similar position as in the H&K P30 and Beretta Px4.
