sides of the main compartment (covered with tiny flaps, so basically, they remain invisible), the insert allows for rapid reach of the pistol/SMG/SBR carried inside. In emergency, you can shoot through the bag, without taking gun out of it. The sleeve is attached with Velcro and two side straps and has hour-glass shape when flat. As it was mentioned, it is foam padded to reduce the printing and to provide some protection to the items carried. The bottom part of the sleeve makes the bag more rigid. When the sleeve is removed, bag becomes soft and unstructured. Being the "dual use" product, Courier 15 might be used to carry 13-15" laptop instead the SBR. As the whole bag, the main compartment was designed with minimalistic approach. Except the removable sleeve, there is absolutely nothing inside. No hidden pockets, no admin panels, etc. The only thing which can be used to organize the inside part of bag is the wide loop panel for additional pockets. There is huge array of admin pockets available and for sure you are going to find one that suits you best. The only feature located on the slick back side of the bag (body side) is minimalistic carrying handle from nylon webbing and heat shrink tube. It can be used to carry bag in hand. The most important part of the Courier 15, which is crucial when carrying heavy load inside, is the wide carrying strap. It consists of adjustable length 50 mm wide nylon webbing attached through the D-rings and secured with Velcro OneWrap straps. On the strap, there is wide EVA foam padded shoulder pad with profiled bottom part for better airflow. The shoulder strap might be moved from left to right side, but it takes some time as the webbing is weaved through the loops and not attached with buckles. Every "real" messenger bag should provide one more thing: absolute stability when running. This is provided by cross- body stabilizing strap attached between shoulder pad and main compartment. It might be removed but it is better to keep it rolled, when not used. Stabilizing strap is buckled to the pads and G-hooked to the bag. When chasing the bad guy (or bus…) with the bag on the back, it works like charm! Same as in commuting in packed subway. If you like the idea of Courier 15, but you don't need all the concealed carry features and bag you really need is something more like mobile office, you can opt in for Granville 16 messenger bag. It lacks the side zips, the closure of top flap is bit different, but the internals are set up straight out of the box for civilian use. www.fragoutmag.com
