pattern. Boot is lined with comfort mesh. Between liner and upper there is 1.5-2 mm thick foam with vent holes for improved air circulation. Plus, it in- creases the stability of the upper. The threads visible on the outside and the polymer parts are not just a design to make the boots stand out. The poly- mer is the part of skeletonized version of LOWA MonoWrap frame system for increased stability. Legacy Innox was available in two versions, line with GORE-TEX Pearl 3L Extended Comfort Footwear mem- brane (with GTX suffix) and non-lined. Three solid color variants were avail- able: Black, Wolf Grey and Coyote (this was Coyote-ish, cause the color was tuning to brown and purple is dif- ferent lighting). There was also vari- ant with upper in Crye Precision Mul- ticam pattern. The latter had upper made from Cordura 500D fabric, so it was more rugged and stiffer than the standard one, some even claim that there were more comfortable. INNOX PRO If you are not moving forward, you are moving backward, they say. The idea behind the Innox was not sat- isfying, so the LOWA came up with improved version of Innox, the Innox Pro which was presented for the first time during SHOT Show (for US mar- ket) and IWA 2019 (for EU and rest of the world). The main change is the upper fab- ric. The thin and breathable, but more prone to damage honeycomb-style nylon fabric was replaced with thick- er and more durable fabric but still breathable and without sacrificing the comfort and ventilation. The mi- crofiber part of the upper was slightly redesigned. It is still approx. 1.5 mm thick. The MonoWrap stability frame was redesigned and has more aggres- sive lines making the boot look couple times better and more modern. In case of the Mid height version (there is now also an Innox Pro Low cut), additional polymer part was placed in the top part of the upper to increase the stability. Gusseted tongue is wide, soft and well-padded to increase the overall comfort and to protect the in- terior against the sand or debris. LOWA Innox Pro has simple but ef- fective lacing system which is basically same as in the legacy ones. The Mid- cut has five pairs on nylon webbing loops and two aluminum alloy closed hooks. Laces are polypropylene. The closed hooks are safer than the stan- dard open hooks and will prevent against accidental snagging, especially during HAHO/HALO jumps, rapelling or using the ladders. They are slower to lace but way safer. In case of Low-cut www.fragoutmag.com
