as well as in form of the boss himself, i.e. Lynn C. Thompson. Promotion at its finest and it is really difficult not to notice this stand or pass by it indifferently. Cold Steel also presented a new lock mechanism for folding knives presented on the example of the AD15 knife – a banal yet sturdy solution. If we hold a knife with our hand during work, folding it is just impossible. Cold Steel is famous for probably the most durable lock available on the market – tri-ad lock. Since the last year, the company has been consistently implementing its policy through improvements of other locks, e.g. an additional lock was added to the liner in liner locks, which changed the folding knife into a true monolith like, for instance, in the case of a new folding knife designed by Wes Crawford, the BUSH RANGER, or the last year's Luzon knives. The offer was also expanded with two Bowie knives – the first one has a very classic, American, almost western-like style (so its name Wild West Bowie is not a coincidence), the second one is a greatly modernized bowie knife created as the continuation of the "Chaos" series of knives that can be recognized by the tightly closed (arched) crossguard looking simply like brass knuckles. Even the pins or the lock mechanism do not contain at least a trace of metal while the large blade is serrated on both sides. Speaking frankly – it is a large, folding knife with a powerful blade that anyone can smuggle on board of an airplane. The whole product is to be available on the market for a dozen dollars. The company created it more likely just to show that such a solution is possible. However, I personally felt odd when I held the knife in my hand, thinking that every lunatic would be able to avoid metal detectors and sneak with it into any place they want. During the fare, Lynn C. Thompson, the owner and director of the company, was given a Polish hand-made shepherd's axe forged at Kuźnia Kalcifer. He was delighted with the gift and announced that in the future people would see him often with a shepherd's axe rather than with a cane. By the way, it appeared that Lynn himself knows Polish history pretty well and that it fascinates him. He talked about the Chmielnicki Uprising, the battle of Vienna, he was hyped up at the topic of winged hussars and also said that jokes about Poles piss him off and that then he tells people that www.fragoutmag.com
