First batch of bombs, required
for certification, was filled in
December 2018 and completely
passed the requirements.
Further cooperation with RWM
Italia is crucial as the com-
pany delivers shells for the
bombs. Critical for the product
are details and manufactur-
ing process. RWM Italia uses
hammering instead of welding
process which decreases the
air friction during drop and im-
proves precision of strike (even
when GBU-12 or GBU-38 are
employed). According to the an-
nouncements, if there will be re-
quirement from the market and
economical justification, the Ni-
tro-chem might expand its offer
with other Mk.80 family bombs,
such as heaviest Mk.84.
As mentioned above, the CEO of
Megmar Logistics & Consulting
was also present and handed
out congratulatory letter for Ni-
tro-Chem. Megmar was awarded
contract for delivery of 400 GBU-
12 guided bombs for Polish MOD
and 200 Mk 82 with those kits will
be manufactured in Nitro-Chem.
The deliveries will be completed in
October 2022.
