The most spectacular part of the Luchtmachtdagen show is the "Air Power Demo". During this
simulated strike on the airfield almost all of the RNAF aircraft are deployed. There were 10 F-16
fighters, C-130 Hercules (deploying all flares simultaneously), couple helicopters and the latest
RNLAF F-35 fighter. The weather was not as humid as in the 2016, so the contrails were not so
spectacular.
What should be highlighted, US Air Force also took part in the show with gigantic C-17 Globemaster
III from USAFE.
Other guests included Patrouille de France, Patrouille Suisse and RAF Red Arrows precision
aerobatic demonstration units!
