Straight out of the box, the Olight PL-PRO replaced the Streamlight TLR-1 HL on my Glock 19 Gen 4. For two months I was carrying it in my IWB kydex holster almost every day. During shooting classes I was using my combo with Safaril- and 6354DO holster. No problems with compatibility during drawing or re-holstering. Summer was crazy hot this year, so I was sweating quite heavily, but my natural body fluids didn't have negative impact on the weap- onlight carried IWB. Once, I was shooting in pouring rain, but light still worked. Well, some rain or sweat shouldn't be a problem for a weaponlight. In last two months I've put around 3,000 rounds through the gun, also in low-light conditions. The PL-PRO was constantly attached to the gun and it never failed me. Whenever I've activated it, it worked flawless. When button was released, the light went off. Olight declares the 1500 lumens output for 90 seconds and 600 lumens output for 45 minutes. There is also 300 lumens output available with 90 minutes runtime. Third mode is strobe. It has both constant on and momentary on modes available, depending on the button activation. Strobe is activated by holding both switches. Comfort of use is same as in previous version and the weaponlight is fully ambidextrous. The output power mentioned above is impressive, but in real-life use it is even more than required. The output will greatly extend the effective range of handgun in self-defense situation or will make the bad guy blind in short range. I've checked the throw in the open and it seems that declared value is real. The 600 lumens are effective on several dozen meters and 1500 lumens throw is definitely over 200 meters. The light beam has distinct hotpost and pretty wide spill. 90 seconds limit of maximum output is more than enough for use in tactical situations when you are using the momentary mode only. The capacity of built-in rechargeable battery was enough for shooting classes in low-light conditions. I must confess, I haven't depleted in completely during the period of use. Charging is pretty PL-2 PL-2 PL-PRO PL-PRO TLR-1 TLR-1 www.fragoutmag.com
