even impossible. However, whether only grinded or forged steels are intended for the crew of Forged Blades, they combi- ne two features – high-level hardness and impact resistance. Steels such as the VC800 or ASP2005 are impact-re- sistant monsters giving a hardness of 60-62 HRC. This means that the col- loquial term „tank opener" ceases to be mere words. These knives, although they are not indestructible (human ingenuity knows no borders), give a much greater guarantee that at the crucial moment they will not let you down. Hardening also is done in-house, which allows you to take full responsibility for the entire process of knife creation. The guys from Forged Blades take respon- sibility for themselves, an example is a lifetime guarantee for the most expen- sive products. However, anyone who buys their knife, regardless of the type of steel from which it was made, can count on the- ir support - sometimes in a bow to less- -salient customers agree to make knives from cheaper materials while maintaining the design and functionality of the tool. Of course, not all knives are forged and even those forged need to be finished or even sharpened. To this end, powerful belt grinders are made to order at Paweł Pruszyński company. Two-meter endless belts, high power and a set of attach- ments allows for efficient maneuvering while grinding, making fullers or under- cuts. When a skilled person standing by such a device it consumes steel in the sheaves of sparks. These monsters are also used for finishing the surface of kni- ves, shaping handles or sheaths. In Forged Blades, several methods of surface finish are used - the steel is po- lished to the smoothness of almost a mir- ror, is treated with acids or iron chloride or sand blasted. You can also request personalization in the form of a laser en- graving. Modified models can be ordered to meet the specific requirements of the future owner. As you can see, Forged Blades is not only a knife manufacturing company, but a place where customer dreams can come true, of course, not always and not all, but you can always count on a conversation and advice. Anyone who has a dream to personal- ly make their own knife can take part in weekend blacksmithing classes organized at the workshop. For the leaders it is a pleasure to share knowledge and for participants an unforgettable experien- ce related not only to blacksmithing and knifemaking. The Forge is also a kind of meeting and discussion place where people of dif- ferent professions, interests and views appear, a place where not only steel but also characters are forged. KNIVES
