sold out. When F-16 were purchased,
around 400 Mk 82 bombs as part of
GBU-12 and GBU-38 were delivered.
It seems that MOD is building stocks
which presumably might be approx.
1000 bombs in unguided and guided
versions.
There were huge investments in Ni-
tro-Chem plant before the Mk 82 fill-
ing capacity was awarded, such as
equipment and tooling, infrastructure
and crew training. Italian partner pro-
vided necessary know-how. Most in-
teresting from the recently purchased
equipment is the weight for balanc-
ing of filled bombs. Balancing vastly
improves accuracy. According to the
words of President, Nitro-Chem did
not increase the number of personnel
employed but improved the skills of
crew.
