ZEVETA AMMUNITION RPGS The 68 mm single-use shoulder-fired grenade launchers made by the Czech company Zeveta Ammunition are simple, lightweight and compact support weapons that effectively increase the fire- power of an infantry fire team, especially when combating ene- my vehicles (also light armor) and fortifications. In Poland, it is successfully used by the GROM special operations unit, but in the future it may become a good addition to infantry or Territorial Defence Units (WOT) fire teams. The basic model is the RPG-75 HE round and RPG-75M with a shaped-charge warhead. Next is the RTG with a thermobaric war- head. The latest version is the RPG-75MP (multi-Purpose) that combines both effects in a single warhead. The RPG-75MP is designed to destroy armored vehicles using the shaped-charge effect, enemy personnel using the thermobaric effect, or fortified static targets with combined power of the two effects. Every RPG-75M/MP/RTG is made from telescoping tubular parts. First one is an aluminum alloy tube with a factory-fitted projectile and operating mechanisms: trigger and striker assembly as well as a safety mechanism and skeletonized iron sights that are easy to operate. The second part is a steel chamber that ends with an exit nozzle. Both ends of the launcher are sealed with rubber pads that ad- ditionally prevent water from entering the tubes (the launcher is factory-protected by vacuum packing in foil, that allows it to be stored safely for up to 6 years). The grenade launcher has an overall length of 630 mm in transport setup and 890 mm when ready to fire. All RPGs/RTGs are portable and highly effective weapons that dramatically increase the firepower of small units. www.fragoutmag.com
