MAKS is famous for its incredible weather conditions involving high
levels of humidity, desirable for the photographers who eagerly capture
vapour or irisation on the airframes. This year the weather conditions
were almost too good. The scorching heat minimized the number of
photographic opportunities that would allow the photographers to
capture the physics in motion. However, the above does not mean that
no chances emerged at all, to record these phenomena - one of those
opportunities came in a form of Saturday Su-57 display, with spectacular
clouds of vapour forming on the airframe, during its aerobatic routine.
Presence of the Su-47 Berkut, meanwhile, was one of the primary
highlights of the static display. Su-47 is a Russian experimental design
featuring forward-swept wings. Berkut made its first inflight appearance
publicly back in 1997, with its last display in the air happening in
