is thin and just slightly waterproofed. Fortunately, enough, the G-Loft synthetic insulation dries and warms up pretty quickly even when wet. When you are on the move, your body heats up and the air trapped between your body and the garment will make it dry faster. But do not wear TLG as an outer layer when it pours. The TLG works perfectly as an everyday clothing. It looks pretty slick and smart because its sateen black color. The cut is very simple, no bells and whistles, just two side pockets, full-zip on the front and hood. There are elastic inserts on the sides of the core for some more flexibility and more insulation in on the chest than in the sleeves. The tail is slightly extended to protect your kidneys against the cold and wind. And it works! I've been using the TLG as stand-alone garment and as mid-layer insulation with softshells or hardshells, de- pending on the weather. I would recommend it as an all-round year garment. As it compresses pretty well, I roll it up and stash it in my pack on colder days. Pro tip: when you unroll it, give the jacket a couple of minutes, otherwise it looks wrinkled up. TLG is just 280 grams, so you won't feel it when worn. The small con I see is the lack of access to the chest pocket from the outside or lack of the external bicep pocket.
