Gas regulator erosion caused by gases. 7. Cleaning requires barrel disassembly. The barrel attach- ment plug loose tension after the barrel was re-attached 100-150 times. 8. Lack of compatibility with COTS AR-15 trigger groups. 9. Safety switch is uncomfortable when shooting with gloves. 10. Shape and the size of charging handle are uncomfor- table. 11. The internals of stock corroded. 12. Poor anodization of upper receiver and handguard. SOLUTIONS: 1. All the problems with corrosion were solved. a) By applying a 10pm layer of MT-Oxide oxidation to eve- ry steel part in the gun. The standard oxidation is approx. 3-5pm. b) By hard-chrome plating of: gas piston, bolt carrier group, gas block, barrell housing, firing pin and its retaining pin, all the parts of the bolt (including extractor). If you take a closer look at the bolt carrier, you will notice the poor pla- ting of the surface but it was inflicted by the original factory surface. The plating of plug welds was extremely difficult. Grinding of the sides was impossible because of the size to- lerances necessary for the proper operation of the rifle. The factory quality of the bolt carrier surface is far from SCAR or AR-15. c) Gas block wasn't chrome plated in FB Radom even tho- ugh in the past, all the AK variants, such as Tantal or Beryl, had chrome plated gas blocks. After a number of shots, the gas blocks start to corrode.
