Arsenal 40 mm x 46 RLV-AD The most important part of the trials were the capabilities of co- unter-diver 40 mm grenades Arsenal RLV-AD developed by Bul- garian Arsenal. These are dedicated grenades for use against combat divers in the seaports or near the ships and vessels. RLV-AD are low velocity (LV) grenades, what means it can be used with all kind of stand-alone and under-barrel grenade launchers such as M203/M320 or in the stand-alone multi-shot grenade launchers such us Milkor USA M32A1 with drum maga- zine. M32A1 was used during the trials in Ustka. The RLV-AD features fuze with delay so it won't explode when in contact with the surface but about 5 meters below (or when it hits the bottom). The effective range is about 400 meters. Each grenade is packed with TBC-3 thermobaric explosives which blast causes the shockwave in the radius of 100 meters, which can lead to disorientation of the diver. The effective kill zone radius is 30 meters. Arming distance is from 10 to 40 me- ters from the muzzle end. The self-destruction is maximum 27 seconds. www.fragoutmag.com
