OUR GROT
Our GROT S16 FB-M1 (now also S10 FB-M1
because we already have the shorter 10.5"
barrel) from the early pre-production batch is
30 months old and has 3500 rounds mileage
(around 300 rounds from short barrel). The
other two rifles are from the end of the first pro-
duction series – one is a demo unit (no rounds
ever fired) and second was used in the shooting
club (5000 rounds mileage, cleaning after every
1500 rounds).
Externally all three rifles are the same. The in-
ternal differences are significant because the ri-
fles in the early production run had bolt carriers
based on the military one (lacking only the iner-
tial masses of anti-recoil devices and select-fire
trigger sear). These bolt carriers could be chan-
ged between sport and military rifles. Later, FB
Radom redesigned the upper receivers of sport
rifles (bolt carrier and its guides were changed)
and parts are not interchangeable anymore.
Except this detail, the only difference is the
