Founded in 1936 in the Czech city of Uh-
ersky Brod, CZ's production started with
aircraft machine guns, but later expand-
ed its portfolio to include a full range of
military and civilian firearms. Its most well-
known firearms include the vz. 58 and vz.
61, as well as the legendary CZ 75.
CZ currently employs 1,500 highly
trained specialists and their firearms
are exported to more than 100 countries
around the world. Over the last decade,
the CZ factory has undergone extensive
modernization, which now allows for ex-
tremely precise production of products
with tolerances down to a hundredth of
a millimeter.
Since 2018, CZ has been part of CZG
- Ceska zbrojovka Group. All companies
within the group have closely related pro-
duction and development programs and
include CZ Export, CZ-USA, Dan Wesson
Firearms, Brno Rifles, 4M Systems,
SPUHR and others.
