JACKET 177/DKWS Uniform's jacket has a more fitted cut as well. Closed with an Alpha zipper covered with a velcroed flap. Stand-up collar can be worn down or closed around the neck with Velcro. Jacket has 4 pockets – two front slanted ones closed with a sin- gle Canadian type button and two arm pockets with double con- struction. Outer arm pocket is closed with a vertical zipper and the inner one is closed with a flap with a Canadian type button. They are slightly slanted which makes getting stuff out of them easier. Pocket with a flap is covered with loop side Velcro for patches – what is interesting is that the surface is made out of 25mm straps sewn vertically which is quite an interesting way as it doesn't make pockets as stiff as using a single 10cm wide Velcro piece. Unusual thing is an integrated map case placed on the left forearm. Why there is so much hook Velcro on the sleeve and soft loop Velcro on the removable case – I don't know at all. It doesn't make any sense putting the map case at all – if someone needs this kind of feature, there are plenty of products availa- ble on the market. By the way, that map case will be comfortable for right handed users only. Elbow area of sleeves are reinforced with extra layer of fabric which additionally creates a pocket for the foam elbow pads (unified with those from wz.2010/2018 field uniforms of Polish Army). Cuffs are regulated with Velcro flaps. The jacket is comes with the detachable hood (a nice feature as it provides some cover from wind, dust, glass etc.) and something that is called in documents a "un- der-helmet hood balaclava". This knights-style oddity is made of cotton and attached with a zipper in place of the hood. You know, to wear it under the helmet. Will some- one use it? Somebody created it with some idea behind it so who knows. But I cannot comprehend it and I don't think I ever will. UNIFORMS
