IPER II
RADMOR VIPER II radio phones were
commercially launched in 2021. These
devices at first glance look like rugged
cell phones (but still phones, not smartphones) or sat-
phones, resistant to weather conditions according to IP67
standards. According to the technical spec, temperature
range from -30 to +60 °C isn't a problem for this device.
VIPER II comes with a 2-inch, full-color LCD display,
numpad, external antenna connection, microSim card
slot, WiFi and GPS modules. Full set consists of a
3.7V 3,600mAh lithium-ion battery, wall charger, anten-
na, lanyard and a belt clip. RADMOR offers addition-
al headsets as well. Replaceable batteries offer from
8 up to 12h hours of work, depending on intensity of it.
On the left side VIPER II has a large push-to-talk (PTT) button
allowing transmission and on the top there is a volume knob
that is also an on/off switch. Speaker is placed on the back
of the case and the microphone is just below the keyboard
so the same as in most cell phones. VIPER II with battery
and antenna weighs approx. 232g and its compact size al-
lows users to carry it on the belt even for extended periods.
