ROT S16 FB-M1 has been available commer-
cially for more than two years but this par-
ticular one has been in our hands for three
years. The GROT 762N is not available for
sale yet, but we have it for some time now – the reason
is that this DMR-class rifle is still in the works and it is
taking part in the SVD sniper rifle replacement program
in the Polish Armed Forces.
The development 7.62 version of MSBS was initiated in
2015-2016 when Polish Army announced RFI for SVD
replacement but since it is a "side project" of Fabry-
ka Broni and WAT (Military University of Technology)
and not a part of original military-funded MSBS pro-
gram, there are no restrictions regarding its commer-
cial launch. This means that the manufacturer does not
have to wait for a green light from MOD for sales. The
engineer team consist of Paweł Madej, Janusz Pawlak,
Joanna Romanowska (team leader) from Fabryka Bro-
ni and Łukasz Szmit, Ryszard Woźniak and Miroslaw
Zachor (WAT).
