ent). Both 5.56 and 7.62 guns
share the bolt that might be
rotated 180 deg to change
direction of brass extraction,
from left to right side. Ejec-
tion ports are slightly differ-
ent but one stays plugged
when not used. As mentioned
already, the upper receiver of
GROT 762N is wider but the
rear part is still compatible
with the stock adapter.
Lower receivers differ di-
mension-wise due the wid-
er and bigger 7.62 rounds
magazines. The GROT 762N
was also slightly redesigned
(please see pictures) as it
was developed a couple
years later and new technol-
ogies available allowed it to
streamline it for manufactur-
ing. New shape improved the
fitting and durability without
increasing weight.
Trigger groups are inter-
changeable and the factory
rifle trigger seems to be an
improved version of assault
rifle one with enhanced travel,
reset and pull (<20N). Safety
switches are the same in both
rifles and are fully ambidex-
trous. They can be replaced
with any other switches com-
patible with Hera Arms ones.
As you can see in photos,
both GROT rifles have fac-
tory switches replaced with
custom DEFTAR brand ones.
These are non-symmetri-
cal aluminum ergonomics
switches. The 762N features
the standard ones in Gold and
stock holder
weapon manipulators (right side)
