be a Polish answer to SCAR-L and SCAR-H rifles and the ex- periences from Afghanistan confirmed that 5.56 mm rifles lacked performance and ac- curacy on longer distances. The need for 7.62 semi-auto- matic rifles was reported by soldiers of air assault and air mobile units of Polish Armed Forces which were part of ISAF. Both types of rifles can have upper receivers and handguards (and stock of 762N) coated with Cerakote in RAL8000 or Olive Green color. The lower receivers and stocks were left black but there are rumors that soon lower receivers and accesso- ries will be finally available in other colors. The GROT 762N designers decided to keep the layout and operation of 5.56 GROT, so the user will not feel the difference between use and maintenance of both of the ri- fles. The percentage of parts interchangeability is very high (truly modular approach), im- proves the manufacturing and lowers the costs of pur- chase and logistics which might be a deciding purchase factor for gov customers in the future. stock holder stock gas regulator front BIG FIREARMS
