FRAMES All Shadows Systems handguns have polymer frames featuring wrap-around grip texture that is ag- gressive enough to keep the gun firmly in the shoot- er's grip without being uncomfortable for daily wear. Out of the box the gun looks like a high-end custom one. The frame keeps the dimensions of Glock (for compatibility with spare parts and holsters) but ergo- nomics are vastly improved. The blocky shape of the original frame was totally redesigned for increased comfort and better grip. The pistol grip was trimmed down and lacks the finger grooves. The thickness of the rear part might be individually adjusted with NPOA interchangeable back straps (three included with the handgun together with a simple tool to push out the pins). Rear part of the frame has extended beavertail. There is a trigger guard undercut for high- er grip and the trigger guard was reshaped for better proper placement of the supportive hand. The front of the frame features beveled thumb rests for better re- coil control. Grip, trigger guard wall and thumb rests are textured with grippy, fine sandpaper-like patterns. All the changes in the frame make the Shadow Sys- tems pistols feel like "glued" to the hands. The com- pany also offers an optional flared magwell for faster reloads – just remove the backstrap, attach the mag- well to the strap and insert it back. Magwell fits and feels like a monolithic part of the grip. All the parts are available in Black or Flat Dark Earth color. SLIDES Slides are made from 17-4 stainless steel nitrated in Black or Cerakote coated in Flat Dark Earth for in- creased resistance against scratches. The slides fea- ture modern aggressive design with blocky shapes and front and rear serrations for improved grip during reloads and press checks. The Elite variant comes with additional window cut in the front for weight sav- ings, additional serrations on the top of the slide and FIREARMS
