made out of stretch fabric. Bearcat mi- ght be upgraded with a Quick Release cut away system if necessary. The size is adjusted by proper choice of cum- merbund size. CUMMERBUND The base cummerbund is the 70-mm wide Cordura laminate strap with laser- -cut MOLLE slots. In the rear part there is a wide elastic webbing strap and Vel- cro for attachments to the rear panel. In the front of the cummerbund there are 40-mm wide 2M ROC quick-release buckles (female parts) which attach to the male parts of straps which are lo- cated on one front panel Velcro loop and may be secured with front flap. The girth of the cummerbund might be qu- ickly adjusted and the ROC buckles can be mounted upside-down whatever is the user preference. straps. Shoulder straps are adjustable and have elastic loops for hydration tu- bes and comms wires routing – two lo- ops are also added on the outside parts of them. The ballistic plate is held in its compartment with Velcro flap closure. On the inside, the plate panel is stretch and has Velcro for spacers aka comfort pads which increase air flow and impro- ve moisture management. The rear panel has a more rectan- gular shape with a drag handle on the rear. There are also shoulder straps rear attachment points and two vertical zip- pers for mounting additional modular panels and pouches compatible with the popular Crye AVS standard. As you might have found it already, the Bearcat has no Velcro loops for pa- tches, reinforcements or other bells and whistles. Go light, go loud. The plate panels come in just one size – Medium, but they fit Large size too and even thick plates as they are DESIGN Essentially, the base of Bearcat are front and rear plate panels made from 4-way stretch fabric on the inner side and skeletonized MOLLE matrix laser- -cut in Cordura fabric on the outer side. Additional pieces such as cummer- bunds or front plates have to be pur- chased separately to configure the kit according to mission requirements. The front plate pocket is trimmed in the top for increased compatibility with Swi- mmer's Cut (aka Shooter's Cut) plates but the standard SAPI-shaped plates fit great because of stretch fabrics. The lower part is covered with Velcro loop for cummerbund closures attachment or modular front flap. The upper part of the panel is the Cordura laminate and has laser-cut MOLLE slots for at- tachment of small pockets (like admin panel) or PTTs. There are also two 1" ITW Nexus GTSR female buckles for front flap attachment and flat shoulder www.fragoutmag.com
