7.62 NATO
UKM 2020S GPMG
The 7.62 UKM 2020S general purpose machine gun is a
belt-fed infantry support weapon with an impressive rate of
fire of 700-900 rounds per minute. It is effective against unar-
mored and lightly armoured targets in up to 1,500 m distance.
UKM 2020S was built as a direct response to the require-
ments of airmobile and air assault units and WOT. Compared
to the UKM 2020P basic version, the UKM 2020S features a
shorter, 440 mm long barrel (UKM 2020P has 540 mm barrel)
with the same performance. The machine gun is now below
10 kg due the redesign of barrel handle, new detachable al-
uminium bipod, new stock adapter and AR-style stock. The
stock is side-folded to make the machine gun more compact
during the transport (overall length with stock folded is 880
mm). The upper receiver features the MIL-STD-1913 rail for
optoelectronics but it also has built-in backup iron sights. The
final configuration of UKM 2020S might be tailored to meet
customer requirements.
UKM 2020S is belt-fed from M13 disintegrating ammu-
nition links in 50, 100 or 200 round semi-rigid ammunition
pouches
