holding an alert, we are with jets at all times
- ready to go in the air any moment from
the scramble mark. At the days when we're
doing regular flight training the day doesn't
differ much from Canada - mission prepa-
ration starts a few hours before, we fly the
task and debrief after - once or twice a day".
Being deployed to the other side of the
world has unique advantages but also chal-
lenges. The Quick Reaction Alert (QRA)
works in the same way across NATO coun-
tries - both from pilots and technicians per-
spective. The challenge arising when being
