The air show regulars had high hopes when looking at the last weekend of September.
It was between Sep. 17th and 19th, when Mosnov airport in Ostrava became an arena
for another edition of the NATO Days event. Last year the NATO Days were closed off
to the public. This year, it went according to the plan. However, one thing was different.
One had to buy a ticket to get to the showgrounds. The entrance limitations were
not motivated by the finances (since the price was only symbolic), but rather by the
fact that in the reality of the pandemic, the organizers wanted to control the influx of
audience. Furthermore, when entering the showgrounds, one either had to do a COVID
test or present an approved vaccination certificate, associated with the ticket.
