Second edition happened in a very interesting place, the IBION shooting range in Ostróda. For me that was somewhat of a sentimental journey because the range is located at the place of an old military autodrome that closed down in 2002 where I learned how to drive military vehicles almost 30 years ago. The location offers very big possibilities, on a couple hectares there are 20 wide shooting lanes ranging from 25 to 450 meters in length. You can drive a vehicle inside almost each of them and on most of them you can shoot to the sides. Location in the tourist city in the Mazury region makes finding some place to stay super easy and the city is located at the lake so we can join work and ple- asure. Go for a shooting weekend with family and during your time on the range, send them to the beach. Because I was a participant during the first edition, I know more or less what to expect – these are not nor- mal competitions where you run and shoot your gun. Term "tactical shooting" does not come from nowhere, and no – it's not from the "tactical" aspect like maps, planning process and things like that. It's about "that second one" that became a standard term in "business" language and describes everything that makes it close to combat shooting. Second edition had four stages. Not much but for 100 competitors split between two days it's still the whole day at the range. In my case, from entering the range to packing up a car and going back home took 10 hours. We have to mention that mandatory equipment for every par- ticipant was, except gun and ammunition, a plate carrier (minimum 5 kg) and ballistic or bump helmet (eye and ear protection and gloves were also mandatory).
