Two people working at the grain drying storage have been killed. Breaking info". The post was published for just several minutes. At 5.35 PM the author made another post. "For obvious reasons, I have deleted my previous post. Those who managed to read it, know. Tonight we may either expect noise or an information blockade". Paweł was right - the Polish authorities decided to deny everything. But the news was quickly circulated. At 5.18 PM one of the readers reached out to me. He used an Internet instant messaging service, sending me a screenshot of Paweł's post. Paweł is a close acquaintance of his. "Whaaat?", he asked. "I don't know - it looks as if it was fake news", I replied. This was not the first, sensationalist report emerging in the public sphere. The Russian disinformation and fake news spread for fun have been quite frequent, following February 24th, 2022. Sometimes those news suggest that war is on our doorstep.
