At the end of January 2023, Fabryka Broni "Lucznik" - Radom finally announced the introduction of the highly anticipated VIS 100M1 Tactical pistol with threaded barrel. The gun is already available for pur- chase. The 9 mm semi-automatic VIS 100M1 Tactical pistol is the very same VIS 100M1 commercial gun, with optics-ready cut-out in the slide for the MRDS (micro red dot sights) and factory fiber optic iron sights. The original military duty pistol, the VIS 100 has no cut-out and just standard steel iron sights with white markings for quicker aiming. Since the gun comes with suppres- sor-compatible threaded barrel, the fiber-optics iron sights are suppres- sor-height, so they are clearly visible over the suppressor. The barrel itself is the main difference – it is 123,3 mm long and has M13.5x1L thread for various suppressors and silen- cers attachment. The increase of the barrel length, increased the ove- rall length of the pistol to 209 mm. While shooting the VIS 100M1 Tactical with a suppressor, it sho- uld be remembered that a long and rather heavy suppressor does affect A few months ago, while par- ticipating in "Grotowisko 22" event I had the opportunity to play a prototype VIS 100 in the "tacticalized" version, which was not yet called that at the time. This military duty pistol was fitted with longer, M13.5x1L threaded barrel for suppressor or other muzzle device. It was more "playing" rather than "shooting" as the gun had standard height iron sights, completely obs- tructed by suppressor. It was a pro- totype to check how the gun runs suppressed not how accurate it is. Later over the year, the pistol was shown in public few more times and the customers started to ask for such a variant of VIS 100 pistol. FIREARMS
