ONE OF THE W-3WA SOKÓŁ HELICOPTERS WITH SOLDIERS OF THE 25TH AIR CAVALRY BRIGADE (reinforcements were delivered by two W-3WA Sokół helicopters), and a group of JW GROM SOF unit ope- rators, who were inserted on the be- ach by a S-70i Black Hawk helicop- ter. After defeating the terrorists, a MEDEVAC point was organized, and the wounded were evacuated - with the use of the available am- bulances, Rosomak-WEM APC, and W-3WARM Anakonda helicopter of the Polish Navy's Aviation Brigade. After that episode, ORP Albatros MCMV entered the arena. Its AUVs were to check whether the locks had any mines in them. As the sa- ilors stated, conducting operations in areas of such a specific nature provided them with extra experien- ce that could become useful in the future. The practical aspect also needs to be taken into account here. So far, the waters of the Vi- stula Spit have never been checked by so advanced bottom inspection systems. Then, the channel was used to deploy Hibneryt air defen- se systems, and M-ATV vehicles of the US Army, transported by a PT- S-M amphibious platform. As the Vistula Spit is still an area where works are underway aimed at de- epening the water routes, imme- diately after leaving the locks zone ORP Albatros and PTS-M turned around, to go through the lock aga- in and return to the Baltic Sea. www.fragoutmag.com
