IN LATE MAY 2023, THE 9TH "BRANIEWSKA" KING STEFAN BATORY ARMOURED CAVALRY BRIGADE INVITED A GROUP OF MEDIA PROFESSIONALS TO WITNESS THE FINAL STAGES OF CERTIFICATION OF THE 13TH ROTATION OF THE "LATVIA" POLISH MILITARY CONTINGENT (PKW ŁOTWA). THIS WOULD BE THE 7TH ROTATION INVOLVING THE 9TH BRIGADE, STATIONED IN THE WARMIAN-MASURIAN VOIVODESHIP. IT COULD ALSO POTENTIALLY BE THE LAST DEPLOYMENT, INVOLVING THE PT-91 TWARDY MBTS. The training process was launched in December last year, while the rotation has been planned to happen between June and July this year. PKW Łotwa involves around 200 soldiers, 70% of which come from the Braniewo-based brigade. Logi- sticians, communications specialists, and a command com- ponent would also be deployed to Latvia. The media demonstration involved an offensive role demo performed by a tank company, among other elements. Additionally, the invited journalists also had a chance to witness the MEDEVAC operation involving a Mi- 2, from the 49th Airbase in Pruszcz Gdanski (inherited from the Naval Aviation Brigade), and the movement of a main battle tanks company with support vehicles into an area of operations of a CRBN unit tasked with decontaminating the vehicles. Equipment is a specific feature of the PKW Łotwa detach- REPORT
