potential in the future. This has been possible thanks to a guaranteed influx of orders, envis- aged within a period longer than 2-3 years. This also allows for the development of the neces- sary manufacturing capacity within the domes- tic defense industry. Approach as such does confirm the domestic industrial base's ability to become a pillar of defense. The munitions manufactured domestically shall be the guar- antor for the use of the assets operated by the Polish Armed Forces. On June 14th, the PGZ Group's companies concluded a set of agreements with the Arma- ment Agency on the delivery of the BAOBAB- K scattered minelaying platforms, and mines, manufactured at the Bydgoszcz-based Belma company. The contract covers the delivery of 24 PMN (Scattered Minelaying Vehicle) platforms man- ufactured by a consortium involving PGZ S.A., and HSW S.A. as a leader. Specialist mainte- nance and servicing kits would be delivered with the vehicles as well. The agreement value is defined as PLN 510 million (gross), with de- liveries expected to happen between 2026 and 2028. The second of the agreements signed by and between the Armament Agency and the BELMA S.A. company pertains to the procure- ment of 10 thousand ISM mine cassettes, with MN-123 mines, more than 6 thousand MR-123 anti-tank mines for manual setting up, and sev- eral hundred mine cassettes with MN-123/C training mines. The whole agreement would be finalized by 2026, while the agreement value is defined as PLN 566 million. On August 14th the PGZ Group companies signed agreements with the Armament Agen- cy, on the delivery of almost 400 light recon- naissance vehicles, plus two framework agree- ments on the procurement of heavy IFVs and a new wheeled APC. The first contract signed on August 14th this year, by a consortium formed by PGZ and Ro- somak S.A. pertains to the delivery of ca. 400 light 4x4 reconnaissance vehicles, the hand- ing off of which has been scheduled between 2024 and 2030. The value of the contract is defined as PLN 1.2 billion (gross). The second framework agreement, signed by a consortium formed by PGZ S.A. and HSW S.A. would result in the delivery of several hundred heavy IFVs in a variety of configurations, including some utilizing the domestically developed ZSSW un- manned turret system. Apart from the vehicles alone, training and logistics packages shall also be included here. Krab howitzer is going to act as the base platform, while configuration details will be arranged within the framework of performance contracts. Another framework agreement signed by PGZ S.A. pertains to the development effort regarding the new wheeled APC (NKTO), fitted with a remote control weap- ons module (ZSMU). Should the development efforts be successful, the agreement envis- ages an order regarding a little less than 1,000 examples of the NKTO vehicles fitted with the ZSMU station built between 2028 and 2035. COOPERATION On March 31st, 2023 the PGZ Group, the WZM [Military Automotive Works] facility, and the South Korean Hyundai Rotem Company signed an agreement on the establishment of a con- sortium that is expected to jointly offer the K2PL main battle tanks and accompanying support assets to the Polish Army. Apart from the main battle tanks, the agreement also cov- ers the collaborative efforts associated with the development of new support platforms. Thanks to the potential of its R&D centers, and the specialist designers and engineers, the PGZ remains ready to develop the specialist support vehicles that would accompany the K2PL main battle tanks.
