a value of almost PLN 3 billion. PGZ S.A. is the leader of the consortium, while ZM Tarnów S.A. is acting in the capacity of a technology integrator. Delivery of 22 PSR-A Pilica systems for the ZRA Pilica+ program is the subject of the agreement signed by and between the State Treasury and the PGZ-Pilica+ consortium: 16 new systems (including one training example to meet the Air Force Training Centre's requirement), and six already manufactured systems, or systems manufactured as per the agreement signed in The Pilica+ system would include elements of the PSR-A Pilica solution - the command station, SHORAD radar, six fire units with trac- tors, communications subsystem, and logis- tics support assets - ammunition carriers and transport vehicles. The aforesaid configuration would be complemented with SHORAD SAM systems and Bystra radars. It would be possi- ble to engage targets with the use of both AAA and SAM assets as well. Then, AAA systems with programmable munitions, and a counter- UAS system would also be integrated into the Pilica+ ecosystem. On June 1st this year the PGZ-AMUNICJA [PGZ Ammunition] consortium and the Armament Agency signed a long-term framework contract on the delivery of ammunition for the Polish Armed Forces. The agreement assumes that hundreds of thousands of 155 mm artillery rounds would be supplied. It is also expected that performance contracts would be signed involving the PGZ-AMUNICJA consortium for a varied inventory of 120 mm munition types. The timeline for the said agreement reaches out to 2029. The Agreement signed in Warsaw defines a new quality in contracting munitions procure- ment for the Armament Agency working to secure the needs of the Polish Armed Forces. A timeline of that length, defined contractually, allows the Consortium to work on the under- taking to optimally utilize the current manufac- turing capacity but also to expand the available 2016, featuring new elements. Based on the agreement signed in November 2016, six Pilica systems are being delivered to the Polish Armed Forces. It is a modern VSHO- RAD system developed by the designers from Tarnów. The first four systems have already been commissioned by the Polish Army. PGZ will be enhancing, developing, and upgrading the „Pilica" system in an ongoing manner so that the Armed Forces have equipment placed within their inventory, which is becoming more and more advanced. 8 www.fragoutmag.com
