The Guarana system radio includes four transmission- -reception blocks and an encryption block. Nonethe- less, the modular design of the radio makes it possible to configure it for other applications, mobile ones inc- luded (vehicular/backpack radio). The radio can also be used in a stationary setting. Guarana, in essence, would boost the levels of situational awareness in the Polish Armed Forces, and increase saturation with autonomo- us systems. The radio will make it possible to control armament remotely, and also will allow for remote target designation. Guarana will also accelerate the speed at which the data is received. Above all, however, the sys- tem would ensure high levels of information security. The factors listed above make the radio system a blo- odstream of an efficient BMS and also mean that radios are a key element, decisive in any successful military operation. Not only are the military radios designed for voice communications, but their primary role is to facili- tate the exchange of a broad spectrum of data between different systems, such as artillery systems, rocket launchers, and armored units communication systems - thus they are an indispensable component of effective battlespace management. COMP@N-Z Handheld/Vehicular Radio COMP@N-Z system makes it possible to establish con- fidential and non-confidential voice communications, and confidential data transfer between defined radio cor- respondents, it also allows the user to plan out the radio network and manage the cryptographic documents (inc- luding key generation). The system includes all, compre- hensive elements for overt and covert communications, meeting the security requirements and allowing the user to gain a certification for the system, as a solution authori- zed to and capable of processing confidential data. The COMP@N-Z system includes the following elements: • SPSR System for Planning Radio Networks • SZGDK System for Managing and Generating Cryptographic Data • H09-Z/1 Handheld radio; • V09-Z/1 Vehicular radio.
