T he CS WOT (Territorial Defense Forces Training Center) laun- ched instructor training, within the scope of handling the FGM-148 Javelin ATGMs in February 2021. This was tied to the procurement and delivery of the first FGM-148F Javelin system for the Territorial Defense Component. They are one of the primary components of the specialized Tank Destroyer Groups. Apart from the Javelin missiles they also use other weapons systems (such as the Warmate loitering mu- nitions delivered by the WB Group, or Tor anti-material rifles, manufac- tured by ZM Tarnów) Along with live FGM-148F Javelin missiles, the CS WOT also received training sys- tems, as per the agreement signed by and between USA and Poland, including stationary EPBST (En- hanced Producibility Basic Skills Trainer) trainer systems, and MSR (Missile Simulation Round) launch container mockups. The first launches involving the live missiles took place at the range in Toruń in June 2021. The story of FGM-148 Javelin in the inventory of the Polish Armed Forces dates back to May 13th, 2020, when the first G2G contract was signed by and between Poland and the USA. Within the framework of that agreement, the Territorial Defense Component received 60 CLU launch units and 180 live FGM-148F missi- les. The package also included tra- ining aids, spares, diagnostic sys- tems, logistics support services, and all of the needed materials. The deliveries started in the spring- time of 2021, with the first launch happening on June 17th, 2021. The whole delivery was handled by the US administration (acting as the intermediary party, within the fra- mework of the FMS procedure) and finalized by October 2022. Another agreement was signed in January 2023, covering 50 LWCLU launch/ targeting modules, along with ca. 500 FGM-148F missiles and the ne- cessary training and logistics sup- port packages. In September 2023, during the MSPO exhibition in Kielce, PGZ Group and Javelin JV (owned by RTX and Lockheed Martin) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the manufacturing of the Jave- lin anti-tank system in Poland. This may constitute the first step towards increasing the number of those systems in the inventory of the Polish Armed Forces. The Javelin Platoon Commanders Course is carried out by the Combi- REPORT
