let it pass, from the point of view of the Polish citizen. This is
not a signal of weakness, it rather shows a rational loss and
profit analysis. The aforementioned Bydgoszcz incident is
much more controversial. The Russian missile made a deep
penetration of our airspace and fell on the ground close to a
large city. It could have hit a block of flats for instance. And
for that reason, the circumstances of what has actually hap-
pened near Bydgoszcz need to be thoroughly investigated.
