one, mostly looking like famous pieces from particular era or setups from opera- tions or based on the guns from famous owners, like Gordon's Rifle based on Colt 723 used by Delta Force operator Gary Gordon during the Gothic Serpent opera- tion in Mogadishu in 1993 pictured in Black Hawk Down movie. Some of those cloners are building al- most 1:1 replica and some are not so hardcore, they just want to have a gun with specific "vibe". You can actually buy a surplus, genuine issue pistol or bolt-action rifle from almost any era but the real problems start if you want to buy the rifle, especially AR family. And since it is impossible to purchase a ex-military fully-automatic firearms by the civilian shooter, there are three ways to get the long gun which resembles the original mili- tary issue one or at least good "base" for it. First is the surplus. Of course, gutted and semi-automatic only. In past couple of years there were available ex-gov issued M16A1 assault rifles with original Colt mil- itary markings, but these were leftovers from some foreign military sales hence lacking the "Property of U.S. Government" marking. They were fairly priced and some of them were almost in mint condition. B ut there is also an inner circle, the cloner's guild which I belong to. These are the collectors looking for the firearms as close to the military Polish shooting community is rapidly growing in recent years and the availability of firearms is impressive compared to a decade ago. There are options for everyone, as you can buy your first AR rifle for less than 1000 EUR, or you can buy the one for almost 10K. It only depends on your budget.
