before the change before the change after the change after the change the top accessory rail was slightly changed as the rail's cross-sec- tions profile was altered with we- ight-shaving under-cuts in the top. The upper receiver has received a new cutout for the charging handle - it was shortened and the under- cut in the rear part was removed. The reason for that change is the redesigned charging handle itself was also redesigned, now it might be split into parts, has weight re- duction cut-outs and redesigned bolt carrier connection. All of these improve the sealing of the receiver by increasing protection against elements. A relatively minor chan- ge is the change of screws used to attach the ejector port flap from M3 conical screws with a 2 mm Al- len key socket to M3 cylinder-head screws with a 2.5 mm Allen key socket. The bolt carrier at first glance looks very similar to the previous one, but it too has undergone seve- ral changes. As already mentioned, the charging handle connection with the bolt carrier was redesigned and that forced a subtle change of the bolt carrier insert in the front part (the rear part was also simpli- fied). Subsequently, the undercut of the insert, through which the loc- king rod is inserted and removed, was changed - it was lowered and the profile was changed slightly, so that this opening was completely hidden in the upper receiver. The in- sert will be welded or pinned direc- tly to the bolt carrier. Another interesting change is the redesign of the bolt cam pin. Improper assembly of BCG inside the upper receiver will not be possi- ble in GROT A3. In the new version, the BCG can only be inserted with the right front position ("unlocked" position). In the bolt itself, the dia- meter of the ejector axis has been changed to prevent cases of its ejection during use. Quite a few modifications have been implemented in the lower re- ceiver, most of which were announ- ced in 2023. The safety and fire se- lector switch throw will be changed from 0/45/90 deg (safe, single, full auto) to 0/45/135 deg as requested by the users. Safety switch will not be adjustable anymore.
