FN15 a 'la M16A4
– is it worth it?
This is a difficult question to answer. Why?
Well, because this is a very expensive rifle,
considering its pretty basic kit. After all,
this is the equivalent of a basic military ri-
fle, made without bells and whistle. For the
similar price you could buy many of higher
tier rifles with very good barrels, muzzle
devices, better handguards, adjustable
gas blocks, tuned and so on. And here we
have a military "pure" gun for similar money.
Yes, superbly made, with a quality barrel,
with a KAC M5 RAS handguard. with a BUIS
sight, fixed buttstock, but long and com-
pletely not matching today's fashion for
"tactical" shooting. It is a product aimed to-
ward a very specific target audience. Simply
for people who want an AR15, but unique in
that it is as close to a military rifle as pos-
sible. At the same time, capably shooting.
Of course, a rifle is just the beginning of
the road - to make it look like that, you
need to buy an ACOG, sling, a bayonet
and preferably AN-PEQ/2 or newer la-
ser pointer to make it better. And then
it starts to look "like a million dollars"!
