The Lockheed Martin F-16C/D Block 52+ Fighting Falcon MRCA, ordered by Poland
in April 2003 and designated as "Jastrząb" (Hawk), were delivered between 2006 and
2009. Even at that time, it was assumed that a major modernization would be necessary
during their planned operational period to maintain a high operational capability.
