According to available information, the F-16 fleet is
expected to remain in service until the mid-21st centu-
ry. Given the ongoing technological revolution we wit-
ness daily, it is no surprise that the systems installed in
Poland's F-16s have become outdated. A perfect exam-
ple is the capabilities of the AN/APG-68(v)9 radar, which
is now matched by systems like the Elta EL/M-2032,
used on the KAI FA-50GF Fighting Eagle light fighter-
-trainers operated by Poland's 23rd Tactical Air Base in
Mińsk Mazowiecki. The term "trainer" is used cautiously,
as despite many opinions emphasizing the training role
of these Korean aircraft, they are, in fact, light multi-role
combat aircraft. Soon, they will play a crucial supporting
role for the Jastrząbs and the F-35A "Husarz".
