THEFUTURE TASK FORCE AN UNMANNED PLATOON GRUPA WB FOR SEVERAL YEARS POLISH WB GROUP DEFENSE INDUSTRY HOLDING HAS TRADE SHOWS). THERE ARE TWO REASONS.THE FIRST IS THE CONTINUOUSLY AND THE SECOND IS THE GUARANTEE OF SHOWING NOVELTIES THAT LEAVE IS NOT MERELY AN EMPTY ADVERTISING PHRASE. ARTICLE TEXT: MICHAŁ SITARSKI IMAGES: GRUPA WB I t was no different this year — the WB Group's pavilion show- cased several new items, but the most spectacular and com- prehensive presentation was that of the Future Task Force, i.e., multidomain unmanned systems. After the introduction of the new subunit structures, the FTF is intended to enable the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland to carry out at least the same offensive and defensive tasks. Ultimately it should increase combat potential in terms of engaging the enemy despite a reduction in the number of pri- mary combat vehicles (tank, IFV, wheeled armoured vehicle) and also provide increased survivability for friendly forces, as well as the greatest possible self-sufficiency. Manned/Unmanned Platoon According to the concept, the basic "unit" of the new struc- ture would be a manned–unmanned platoon. It is to include a crewed wheeled command vehicle and manned–unmanned off-road vehicles. The latter can be equipped with a variety of effectors, ranging from the remotely controlled ZMU-05 weapon stations, through the Warmate TL (Tube Launch) launcher, to dispensers for scatterable mines. www.fragoutmag.com
