hat's Next for the MSBS/GROT A3
and MPS?
Day one featured several briefs on the
MSBS/GROT rifle, including my own pre-
sentation on the platform's modularity—
and the Polish Army's failure to utilize it.
However, the highlight was Fabryka Broni
President Seweryn Figurski's update on
the future of the MSBS/GROT A3 and the
MPS pistol family.
At Grotowisko 2024, Figurski presented
the proposed evolution from MSBS/GROT
A2 to A3. You might ask, "Why present the
same thing a year later?"
It wasn't the same thing. Remember, the
Polish Armed Forces (the program mana-
ger) own the rights, not the factory. This
means two things:
1. The manufacturer needs military ap-
proval for every design change.
2. The upgrade process depends on the
speed of the military bureaucracy and the-
ir review board aka red tape.
MSBS/GROT A3
and MPS UPDATES
For the fifth consecutive year, the "GROTowisko"
conference and shooting match took place in
June 2025. Organized by the Territorial Defense
Forces (WOT) and Fabryka Broni, the two-day
event featured a conference and presentation
panel followed by a range day at the Bellona
shooting range in Marynino.
