GALVION
The history of Galvion began in 2002 with the founding of Revision Military,
a company that still exists today. Built on a foundation of providing eye pro-
tection, Revision quickly became a popular supplier of ballistic spectacles and
goggles, securing contracts with the U.S., British, and German armed forces. By
the mid-2000s, the company expanded its portfolio to include ballistic protection
(the Batlskin Cobra and Viper helmet series) by acquiring the US production lines
of the MSA and projects related to power systems.
A strategic shift occurred in September 2019. Revision Military announced the
sale of its eyewear division to the ASGARD Partners & Co. fund, while the rema-
ining divisions—individual protection, soldier power systems, and advanced
tech—were rebranded to Galvion. This new brand emerged as a specialized en-
tity focused on „active" systems, where protection is integrated with data and
energy management.
An important chapter in the Caiman story is the establishment of the Galvion
European Production Center in Gdańsk, Poland. The investment, announced in
September 2023, reached full operational capability on April 1, 2025, with its
official opening held on June 23, 2025. Located in a modern logistics park in
Gdańsk, the facility was opened during a ceremony attended by the Canadian
Ambassador to Poland.
This facility serves as the central hub for European operations, specifically de-
dicated to meeting the massive demand resulting from the NSPA framework
agreement. Currently, the hub focuses on final assembly, testing, and life-cyc-
le support (refurbishment and modernization) of helmets, employing over 70
specialized technicians and engineers. This local presence allows NATO nations
to shorten delivery times and benefit from regional technical support, which is
critical in the current European security climate.
