COGNITIVE WARFARE Conclusions Cognitive warfare is a contemporary form of conflict that seeks to influence people's attitudes and behavior by acting on their cognitive processes, that is, the way they think and feel. It is a combination of psychological, information, and cyber warfare activities aimed at manipulating society without the use of physical force. The human mind becomes the battlefield, and the objective is to shape perceptions, decision-making, and social awareness, which can lead to destabilization of societies or weakening of the adversary — that is the AI-generated definition of cognitive warfare. Let us now move from definition to detail, that is, to an examination of how cognitive warfare is currently being conducted and how it affects societies, with particular emphasis on Polish society and the role of various types of media in this war, both in the context of attack and defense.
